Make Time for Yourself

Make time for yourself

The art of Self-care

Do you feel the demands of life are ever increasing? Do you find yourself feeling overwhelmed, overworked, and often feeling like you have no time for things that matter to you?

We have families to care for, bills to pay and deadlines to meet, sometimes it seems that we just can’t do it all, let alone find the time to care for our own wellbeing.

The ever-increasing rise in technology on top of the events that of the past 3 years have brought about a never-seen-before level of stress and burnout among individuals, leaving many to wonder if there is a better way. No worries, there is a better way! Self-care is your answer.

Therefore, this is why self-care is so important to maintaining your peace of mind, and the reason is it is a phenomenon we are hearing about more and more.

Practicing self-care and taking care of ourselves is not selfish, it is essential. Self-care is simply stress management at its core. Self-care is when we make the choice to create and build a life that we do not need to regularly escape from.

Here is how to create some self-care in your life.

Emotional self-care – journaling, yoga, breathing exercises, taking a walk outside, self-compassion, spending time with loved ones, giving yourself permission to take a break, reading a book, going to massage, osteopathy and other body work therapy.

Physical self-careincorporating movement, exercise and yoga regularly, prioritizing sleep, choosing more whole foods and less processed foods and beverages.

Spiritual self-care yoga, breath work, meditating, listening to a positive message or talk, journaling and, spending time outside with nature.

The possibilities of self-care are endless. Only you know what you truly need.

The important takeaway from all of this is to understand and be aware of what you need, whether that be a need for the day or in creating lasting routines that make your health and wellness a top priority.

So ask yourself..

What do I need today?

Much love
